Mark Started racing in 2003 in England, He got to learn his race craft in big grids back in the Prime of roadracing on tracks such as Brands Hatch GP, Cadwell Park , Mallory Park and Snetterton. After Leaving the UK in 2006 he didn't return to Roadracing until 2011, where he had to start again and prove his worth.

Taking his Novice championship in the Novice GTO Class on a 2008 CBR1000rr was bitter sweet to prove he was ready to step straight up to expert.

Mark Competed in Utah SBA races as well as travelling to the Pacific Northwest to race in OMRRA with Podium Finishes.

He Did his first Pro race in 2014 in the Geico Sportbike shootout at Miller Motorsports park finishing 9th overall on the Hustlehardracing Triumph Daytona 675R

In 2015 Mark Was sponsored by Cycle city of Mountain Home Idaho and competed on the new 2015 YamahaR1 Finishing his first Pro Superstock 1000 race in Moto America at Miller Motorsports Park taking two 7th place finishes and overall in Superbike 18th and 15th

I have been racing since I turned 14. I originally started riding dirt bikes around my parent’s farm and

found I had a huge passion for motorbikes and pushing them to their limit. I started racing in the

AMRA mini club racing TTR 125’s and TZ 125’s. Here I competed with many national championship

riders. One has even gone on to complete at the World Superbike Level. I have learned a lot from

Mini Road Racing and still continue to do it every week to sharpen my skills. After a few years racing

Minis I moved on to racing in the Amateur class with the CMRA (Calgary Motorcycle Road Racing

Association) were I took the Championship my first year. I turned pro the following year and took the

Pro 600 Championship in the CMRA and EMRA(Edmonton Motorcycle Association). I then in turn

competed in the Canadian National Championship Series for Calgary Motorsports. I had some good

success and learned a lot from racing against the factory Kawasaki and Suzuki teams. At this point I

wanted to further pursue my Career and started racing in the States. Starting in 2011 I competed

with the UTAH SBA in the Master of the Mountain Series. I was able to take 4 Regional

Championships in one year on a 600. I competed in the AMA in there Super stock class when they

came to Utah. I also competed with the MRA out of Colorado and took first places at tracks I have

never been to. Following the championships I got invited to test at Sonoma and ride for Triple Crown

Industries in the AMA National Series. The team underwent financial troubles and I lost my ride. Me

and a few sponsors were able to get a bike together and a budget together to continue the Season

were I had some decent finishes. After this year we regrouped and focused on racing a 1000 Super

stock bike in the Utah SBA and select Moto America rounds (Mostly Western Rounds) and Austin. I

was able to take multiple wins with the 1000 instantly at the regional level and top 10 finishes in the

Moto America. This brings us to last year were I was focusing racing as much as I could with the

UTAH SBA, WMRRA and OMMRA. I was constantly finishing either 1 st or 2 nd racing against full on

superbikes with my Super stock bike and at new tracks I have never been to.

Making the huge jump over the Atlantic Ocean to race has been a dream of mine. MotoAmerica was great, but we struggled with budget, lack of mechanics, and such long logistical nightmares. So I sold my house and everything I owned. Put my Kawasaki ZX6R on a plane, and bought a one way ticket to Barcelona, with my bike and a backpack of clothes on my back. I was homeless for sometime, bouncing around from newly made friends couches, sometimes on the bench in a park nearby city center, or the occasional hostel. It was very difficult to find a flat here, speaking very little Spanish I struggled everyday for about a month. My current team VHC Racing, is just a small group of mechanics that just graduated Monlau Repsol technical school, looking to make their dreams of getting to the world championship a reality. With the support of our manager Jose, we now had a team. With similar mindset these guys are eager to learn, determined to work hard and grow just like myself. If it weren't for them taking me under their wing, I don't know where I would be this moment. Now settled into a room I share with 2 other flat mates, we put the focus into our first race weekend at Catalunya with RFME. Having been off the bike for almost 8 months since having surgery we didn't know what to expect, I was with a new team, new tires, new track, new brake parts, new everything to me. We made great progress over the weekend however only qualifying p37 out of 39 we at least made the grid. We were able to push and keep the bike on the track finishing P17 in race 2 and closing our times to within about 5 seconds of pole position. These guys are fast, and So are the circuits, pole position in Stock 600 is only about 1 second off of top 5 Moto2 times, it's crazy how fast they are going. I'm here now, training with the best guys I could find, Ferran Cardus and his brother Ricky Cardus, improving everyday looking to the future and the goals we have set, to further close the gap off of pole and shoot for a Top 10 finish. I want to thank all my sponsors that stood with me on this big jump of mine to race internationally. Off to the supermoto track I go, until next time, "Adios amigos"
